At a B&B I visited for a recent writing retreat the walls were filled with paintings, some of which with women reading, writing and stitching, many by the window<\/a>. I played with them and took photos of me in front of them, in the same poses as the motifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I decided to use the photos as writing prompts. Last week I wrote in fragments for each of the five photos\/paintings, and stitched them together into an intriguing short story about the life of a young woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
