About

I am a spinner, spinning teacher, author and crafter of words. My book Listen to the wool was published in November 2025.

Bio

I have been knitting since the mid -80’s and spinning since 2011. I specialize in the process from raw wool to a finished textile. I also have a deep interest in different kinds of spindles. Even if I’m not active on this blog, the blog archive on this site consists of over 400 posts. Do pop in to my digital publication Of Words and Wool where I share essay-style writing and some occasional poetry. My book Listen to the Wool will be published in November 2025.

Posts, videos and online courses

In the blog I write mostly about spinning, from both a technical and more of a philosophical perspective. Spinning does so much for me and I like to investigate the spinning process in my blog posts. On my digital publication I write about other topics in more of an essay style. All essays are free, but you are more than welcome to support me on my paid community.

My youtube videos are both instructional and documentary style videos. I hope you find something you like.

In my online school I offer both free and paid courses to intermediate and advanced spinners.
